Mix in the egg, cocoa powder, cinnamon, apple sauce, and honey.. Microwave for 4.5 minutes..

The making of it was messy, but good fun and great for kids as long as you have some supervision going on.. Basically, it goes like this:.1)Flip over a mixing bowl and cover it in plastic wrap.. 2)Squirt some white glue into a bowl and start wrapping your twine around your plastic-covered bowl base, slapping more glue on with your fingers as you go.. 3)Wait for it to dry for 24 hrs.. or... 3)b)Stick it in the oven  at about 200 for a little while, then turn the oven off and leave it sit until it’s dry.

This way it will be pretty dry within about 2 hrs.. And then you have a bowl!Wouldn’t it make great presentation for a gift if you made a big giant one and then put the gift inside?I would love to get that..

My Gramma sent it to me for my birthday last week.

I love it and it’s really special cause it belonged to her Gramma as well.I taped off the trim around the closet doors and used a foam roller to roll on 3 coats of chalkboard paint.

I used the stuff in the can, not the spray paint, although I really love the spray paint version as well. The first coat seemed to go on really thin, but then magically after the second coat, it was pretty much done.

I did a really thin third coat just to be safe, but I don’t really think it was needed..The can says to wait 4 hours between coats, but honestly, in all of my chalkboarding experience, I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes and they’ve always turned out perfectly.
